Thank you, Mike, for your beautiful words. I truly worked in a place where people loved, not just me, but our whole department. We were led by an inspiring and giving man. I was at the university, so that inspiration was passed down to the students. I taught a course on design and Photoshop for three years and got to know many wonderful students. I believe the gift came from a student, but I don’t know for sure. I also realize that it’s about me, too. I had to be someone worthy of this generosity and that humbles me. At the same time it gives me a sense of self-worth, a quality I fear I don’t readily recognize in me. That has been my life-struggle and I believe I’m making headway. Anyway, again, thanks.
